How the Alderley Group is supporting vulnerable people in the community

Alderley Group and Complete Construction believe that any company should leave a lasting, positive, and supportive impression on the local areas in which we operate. We achieve this by providing affordable social housing for those who need it most.

But our support for vulnerable people doesn’t stop there - we’re also proud to support several charities that serve our local community. Read our new blog to learn all about these causes and how we’re doing our bit to help:

Fareshare

We’re proud to partner with Fareshare, the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors made-up of 18 independent organisations. Fareshare takes good quality surplus food from across the food industry and gets it to more than 10,500 frontline charities and community groups.

We’re living through a cost-of-living crisis, and many are struggling to afford healthy, nutritious food. Fareshare redistributes food to school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes. Every week, they provide enough food to create almost 1 million meals for vulnerable people.

So, what are we doing to support their efforts? With Fareshare’s guidance, we have created a strategy to deliver school meals in the areas local to our development sites. Between Alderley Group and Complete Construction, we will donate enough money to provide breakfast and after-school meals for children across three schools.

As a group, our companies will continue to increase our commitment and donations with Fareshare as we expand in the housing market.

An Hour for Others

We are also supporting a local Liverpool-based charity called An Hour For Others. This organisation promotes unity, kindness, and compassion and encourages the community to use their skills to help vulnerable people.

This year, we contributed by giving ten children £100 worth of Christmas presents- we hope it put a smile on their faces over the festive period.

Warrington and Halton Hospital

One of our main aims as a company is to provide affordable housing in Warrington - but we’re also supporting this local area in other ways.

Warrington and Halton hospital is an NHS Foundation Trust providing first-class healthcare services to the North West of England. At Christmas, we donated 30 toys and 30 selection boxes to the local hospital to bring some festive joy to patients aged between 0 to 18 years old.

St Mary’s Hospital

St Mary's Hospital provides care and support for men over the age of 18 years, who require specialised rehabilitation in a safe and caring environment. We have donated 65 selection boxes to the wards within this hospital.
